A 12-week Skills Bootcamp providing students with new digital and technical skills that will allow them to function in a digital role for an employer.The focus of the course is on Object-oriented programming in the context of an introduction based on objects, classes, methods and fields, collections and iteration, inheritance, error handling and exceptions.

During the Skills Bootcamp you will work to complete two 15 credit university level courses, which are designed to provide the foundation for a full degree or degree apprenticeship, as well as completing training in ServiceNow.

This qualification enhances your competency in digital literacy skills, supporting you within your current job role or giving the opportunity for progression into a role where digital skills are required.

Skills Bootcamps are designed to help you develop the digital and technical skills that are in demand in your local area. They can even help you fast-track an interview with a local employer and pave the way to securing a better job.

The course is intended for those learners with no or low digital skills to join a specified digital skills course giving you real skills for the real world, for example, to apply for jobs online, to manage finances online or to access government services online.

This Skills Bootcamp is designed for people with little to no previous tech sector experience who are interested in training into a Data role or self-employed people who wish to incorporate Data into their business. Applications are welcome from those currently in employment and seeking to move elsewhere or achieve a promotion as well as those that have been unemployed for up to 12 months and are seeking to return to work.

The new national digital entitlement from 2020 will fully fund adults with no or low digital skills to undertake this new qualification. They will be supported to use digital devices like tablets, smart phones and laptop computers and to perform everyday activities like how to navigate the internet, send an email and make online payments.

This course will enable and support you to develop the digital skills needed to prepare for further study, work and everyday life. It is an ideal stepping stone for the Essential Digital Skills (EDS) course, as well as helping you to recognise and/or refresh what you know already. It gives an overview of what digital skills are and how they are used in everyday life as well as allowing you to understand the importance of keeping yourself safe online. If you have not been in a learning environment, or unsure if EDS is the pathway for you, then this Introduction to Digital Skills will help you to make that choice. We recommend this course for everyone as a starting point for Essential Digital Skills.

Learners will learn the fundamental knowledge of Operating System Configurations, Installing and Upgrading Client Systems, Managing Applications, Managing Files and Folders, Managing Devices, and Operating System Maintenance.

On this Microsoft IT Engineer Skills Bootcamp, you'll become responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining Azure solutions, from storage to security and networking.In just 12 weeks, you'll learn to deploy, configure, secure, manage and monitor devices and client applications in an enterprise environment. you'll also build knowledge on:Managing identity, access, policies, updates, and apps, Administering Azure using the Azure portal, Cloud Shell, Azure PowerShell, CLI, and ARM templates Cloud services rather than on-premises management technologies.
